A major ownership shift could be coming to one of the entertainment industry’s most successful beauty brands.
MarcyPen Capital Partners, the investment platform co-founded by JAY-Z, is reportedly nearing an agreement to acquire LVMH’s 50 percent interest in Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty.
According to industry reporting, the transaction could be signed within the coming weeks.
Financial terms have not been publicly disclosed, and no completed transaction has been officially announced.
If finalized, Rihanna would retain her 50 percent ownership interest, with MarcyPen becoming the owner of the other half of Fenty Beauty.
Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty in 2017 through a partnership with LVMH-owned Kendo Brands.
The company quickly became one of the most influential celebrity-led beauty businesses in the market, gaining attention for inclusivity and expanding the commercial possibilities of artist-led brands.
The reported negotiations also bring together two major figures whose careers have long intersected in music and entertainment.
JAY-Z played an important role during Rihanna’s early recording career, while Rihanna has since built a global business portfolio extending far beyond music.
“Ownership is becoming as important as the record.”
