Inside Apollo Teen Takeover: Actress and Model Aksana Antonius Celebrates Young Talent, Culture and Creativity
From cheering on young performers and dancing throughout the evening to interactive activities, an Urban Global Entertainment interview and impromptu modeling moments, Aksana Antonius experienced Apollo Teen Takeover from her own creative perspective.

NEW YORK — For young actress and model Aksana Antonius, a night at Harlem's legendary Apollo became much more than watching a show.
During Apollo Teen Takeover on August 14, Antonius stepped into an evening centered around young talent, creativity, music and self-expression — and embraced nearly every part of the experience.
From supporting performers and dancing throughout the night to participating in games and interactive activities, Antonius experienced the event not simply from the sidelines, but as one of the teens enjoying a celebration created with young people at its center.
And somewhere between the music, movement and colorful installations, the actress and model found another way to express herself: in front of the camera.
Celebrating the Next Generation
Teen Takeover brought young people together inside one of America's most culturally significant entertainment institutions for an evening designed around their generation.
Antonius spent much of the event supporting the young artists taking the stage, cheering performers on and joining the energy of the audience throughout the night.
Rather than treating the evening simply as an entertainment outing, she immersed herself in the experience — dancing, interacting with other attendees and participating in the games and activities offered throughout the event.
It was a fitting environment for a young entertainer whose own professional journey has already taken her into acting, modeling and commercial work.
But on this night, there was no audition room, set or traditional modeling assignment.
There was simply an opportunity to experience creativity alongside other young people.
Leaving Her Mark at the Apollo
Among the evening's interactive experiences was a graffiti wall where young attendees could contribute their own signatures and creative touches.
Antonius added hers.
It was a playful moment, but also one that seemed particularly fitting for the evening.
Inside a venue internationally recognized for generations of performers who have left their mark on entertainment and culture, Antonius quite literally left a small mark of her own.
The moment became one of several captured by Urban Global Entertainment as Antonius moved throughout the Teen Takeover experience.

When the Model Sees a Camera…
Of course, it wasn't long before the model in Antonius emerged.
The Apollo's colorful props, artwork, installations and music-inspired surroundings quickly became the backdrop for an impromptu series of photographs.
Antonius modeled her way through different areas of the experience, transforming event props and installations into spontaneous editorial-style images.
Some photographs captured the playful side of the evening.
Others reflected the confidence and camera awareness Antonius has developed through her experience as a young actress and model.
Together, the images created a visual diary of a teenager experiencing one of Harlem's most recognizable cultural spaces in a way that felt entirely her own.

Urban Global Entertainment Sits Down With Aksana
Urban Global Entertainment also caught up with Antonius during the Teen Takeover experience for an on-site interview.
The conversation offered another opportunity to capture the evening through the perspective of a young actress and model experiencing the event alongside her peers.
Rather than focusing solely on what was happening onstage, the interview explored the atmosphere surrounding Teen Takeover — the music, activities, young performers, creative expression and the significance of creating entertainment spaces where teenagers can participate rather than simply observe.
The interview also provided a glimpse of Antonius away from a scripted acting environment, allowing her personality and perspective to become part of Urban Global Entertainment's coverage of the evening.
Actress. Model. Teenager.
Antonius continues to build experience across acting and modeling while developing her individual identity as a young entertainment professional.
Her résumé includes television, film, commercial and modeling experience, giving her an understanding of professional entertainment environments beyond what many young people encounter at her age.
But Teen Takeover showed another side.
Not every career-building moment needs to happen during an audition.
Not every photograph needs to come from a scheduled shoot.
And not every meaningful entertainment experience requires being the person standing onstage.
Sometimes development comes from simply being in creative spaces — watching other young artists take risks, celebrating their successes, interacting with new people and experiencing culture firsthand.
For Antonius, Teen Takeover provided exactly that kind of evening.
Supporting Another Young Artist
The night also carried personal significance for Antonius as she supported fellow young entertainer Angelina Thompson, who performed during Teen Takeover.
Antonius was there to cheer Thompson and the other young performers on, bringing another layer to an evening centered around teenagers supporting teenagers.
While Thompson's night unfolded from the perspective of a vocalist taking the Apollo stage, Antonius experienced Teen Takeover from a completely different vantage point — as a young actress and model engaging with the culture, creativity and community surrounding the performances.
The two experiences were different.
Both belonged in the story of the night.
More Than a Night Out
By the end of Teen Takeover, Antonius had danced, played, cheered, explored, modeled, participated in an interview and added her signature to the event's graffiti wall.
What began as an evening at the Apollo became a collection of experiences — and photographs — documenting a young creative enjoying the intersection of entertainment, culture and self-expression.
For Urban Global Entertainment, covering young talent means documenting more than performances.
It also means capturing the environments that encourage young people to create, participate, support one another and imagine themselves as part of entertainment's next generation.
On August 14, Aksana Antonius did exactly that.
She celebrated the talent. She joined the experience. She supported her peers. And before leaving the Apollo, she made sure to leave her mark.
