Blumhouse and Atomic Monster Unite Under Blumhouse Atomic Identity

BY ROBYN ANTONIUS / URBAN GLOBAL ENTERTAINMENT & MEDIA | EDITORIAL DESK

November 3, 2026

Horror entertainment leaders Jason Blum and James Wan are bringing their combined production operations under the Blumhouse Atomic identity, the pair announced November 3. Blumhouse and Atomic Monster will continue as distinct production labels, with their creative teams developing film and television projects under each banner.

Since the 2024 merger, the combined company has generated more than $2.5 billion in worldwide box office against combined production budgets of less than $330 million, including this year's breakout hits Obsession and Backrooms.

The unified identity reinforces the companies' position in genre entertainment while highlighting the importance of established creative brands in an increasingly competitive film marketplace.
