Spotify is expanding its commitment to emerging independent talent with the inaugural Fresh Finds Summit, scheduled for November 4–5 in Los Angeles. The two-day gathering brings hundreds of artists from the first class of Fresh Finds Forward — the program Spotify launched in September to support roughly 10,000 emerging independent artists each year — into conversations with established musicians, songwriters and entertainment professionals.
Featured participants include John Legend, Ryan Tedder and María Zardoya of The Marías, alongside Quinn XCII, JP Saxe and leaders from CAA, Backline, Good World and True Panther. Programming addresses career development, songwriting, touring, business education, mental health and building sustainable careers in today's evolving music industry, with artists also receiving live feedback on their own songs.
For emerging artists, the initiative highlights the growing importance of industry education and professional networks alongside digital music discovery — turning early playlist momentum into long-term growth.
