Muhammad Ali's life and legacy return to the screen this week in The Greatest, the first authorized scripted series about the boxing champion, humanitarian and global icon. All eight episodes premiere November 4 on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
Jaalen Best stars as Cassius Clay, the young fighter from Louisville who becomes Muhammad Ali, alongside a cast that includes Omari Hardwick, Dana Gourrier, Amin Joseph, Kai Parham, Giovanni Ribisi and Michael Ealy. Created by Ben Watkins, the series counts Ali's widow, Lonnie Ali, among its executive producers, with Michael B. Jordan's Outlier Society also producing.
Billed as an intimate exploration of Ali's life beyond the ring, the series arrives as the first dramatized portrait made with the participation of his estate — a cultural moment that extends one of the most recognizable legacies in sports history to a new generation of viewers.
