One Super Bowl advertiser is handing its biggest stage to the public. Svedka Vodka, the Sazerac-owned brand, opened a contest on November 2 inviting creators 21 and older to produce an original 15-second commercial for Svedka Vodka Water, its canned cocktail offering, with a $500,000 prize for the winning entry.
The brand's announcement gives an entry window of 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time November 2 through 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time December 1, 2026, and says entrants must be 21 or older. These are not the complete eligibility requirements: the official contest rules govern entry conditions and judging. The winning work could air during Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027; airtime is not guaranteed by this report. Andy Cohen is helping launch the campaign.
For the advertising industry, the contest is a live experiment in the creator economy: whether a brand can convert backlash against machine-made creative into participatory, fan-driven marketing on the most expensive stage in television.
