BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Community, music and service came together on Sunday as Wild Bunch hosted its 7th Annual Community Event, welcoming families and supporters for an afternoon dedicated to local youth.

Held at I.S. 55 Park on Bergen Street, the event included a bookbag and school supply giveaway, basketball, live entertainment, activities and a talent showcase. The focus extended beyond entertainment, emphasizing direct support for the community.

At the center of the event was Donny Smallwood Jr., an entrepreneur, author, entertainer and philanthropist whose work consistently emphasizes opportunity-building and long-term community impact.

Giving Back Where It Matters

Urban Global Entertainment & Media participated in this year's outreach, with representatives and young talent joining the day's activities.

Angelina Thompson and Aksana Antonius, alongside their families and Urban Global Entertainment & Media Founder & Executive Managing Director Robyn Antonius, helped distribute bookbags and school supplies to children in attendance.

The group took an active role throughout the afternoon, engaging with families and directly placing supplies into the hands of students preparing for the new school year.

For Urban Global Entertainment & Media, the involvement reflected a broader commitment to using visibility and access to support communities that help shape emerging talent.

Fifteen-year-old vocalist Angelina Thompson also took the stage, performing for families gathered in Brooklyn.

Her appearance came during a growing performance period that includes a recent show at Harlem's Apollo Theater and continued development across New York's live music scene.

At the Wild Bunch event, however, the focus shifted from a traditional performance setting to a community-centered experience.

The moment highlighted how meaningful performances are often defined less by venue and more by connection with the audience.

Actress and model Aksana Antonius also took part in the day's service efforts, assisting with the distribution of supplies to local children.

For young entertainers, experiences like these reinforce the importance of balancing career growth with community responsibility.

The event provided both Thompson and Antonius an opportunity to engage with families outside of industry environments while contributing directly to a youth-focused initiative.

Donny Smallwood Jr.: Building Through Impact

The annual gathering reflects the broader mission of Smallwood's work.

As an entrepreneur, author, philanthropist, actor and motivational speaker, he has developed projects across business, media and entertainment while maintaining a consistent focus on service and youth empowerment.

His philanthropic priorities in education and youth development were reflected in the event's core mission of providing school supplies directly to children.

Seven years into the tradition, Wild Bunch continues to demonstrate the impact of sustained community engagement through consistent annual outreach in Brooklyn.

More Than an Event

By the end of the day, children left with bookbags and supplies, families enjoyed music and activities, and artists and community members contributed their time and energy.

The impact came from the combination of those efforts working together.

Entertainment brought people in, but purpose shaped the experience into something larger than a gathering.

For Urban Global Entertainment & Media, participation in the Wild Bunch 7th Annual Community Event was an opportunity to support a longtime collaborator while contributing to a shared mission of service.

It was about showing up.

It was about giving back.

And it was about ensuring that the children at the center of the day left with something meaningful to carry into the school year ahead.
